ARTNODES is an e-journal promoted by the UOC, the aim of which is to analyse the intersections between art, science and technology.
ARTNODES publishes contributions that focus on the reflection and study of the intersections between art, science and technology, from a formal, historical and conceptual point of view.
Research articles, essays or opinions, comments on events, authors or works and also book reviews are considered.
Given its interdisciplinary and disseminatory nature, ARTNODES' natural audience is the university community - and the general public - who are interested in the intersections between art, science and technology and, especially, in the effects and influence of the intensive use of information and communication technologies on art, culture and society in general.
ARTNODES is a yearly journal. However, the contents of each issue are not necessarily published all at the same time, but may appear at regular intervals throughout the year until the issue is deemed closed.
This system speeds up the publication time of the journal's contents considerably without the need to wait until the whole issue has been edited.
Proposals should be sent to the ARTNODES editorial secretary at the following address artnodes@uoc.edu.
All articles received go through a peer review process involving those assessors appointed by the Editorial board.
The assessors give their judgement on the publication proposals, with the observations they consider appropriate. When assessment is positive, the assessors' observations are sent to the authors through the journal editors.
